My mom had open heart surgery in 2008 and lung surgery 2 days later. My mom has survived her mitral valve replacement even after having a stroke during her surgery. My mom has had 2 strokes and is on all types of heart medications. She is a very strong lady, she gets that from my grandpa who passed at the age of 85 due to a heart attack. On Monday January 16, 2012 my mom  had another stroke, they found out her aortic valve has to be replaced and she does not want to go through another surgery. The doctor stated that mom is not a candidate for this surgery because of her age and health. She hasnt been able to eat in 3 days and is very weak. I pray to go that my mommy stays with us longer, but if he decides to take her then I know she is not suffering. Please pray for my mommy Gloria Rodriguez, I am in NJ worried and wondering if my mommy will be around for another 10 years or so. I’m glad i found this site and read these stories, it has helped me open up about my mom.
